Gallagher Bike Skills Park
Bring the kids down to have a go on the Gallagher Bike Skills Park, it's perfect for all ages.
Perry Playground
The Perry Playground opened to the public in January 2017 and is a popular addition to the Grassroots Trust Velodrome’s cycling facilities. Right beside the Gallagher Bike Skills Park and Te Awa River Ride, it’s another great free activity for families to enjoy.
The playground comes equipped with;
- Swings
- Climbing Wall
- Tube slide
- Monkey Bars
- Flying Fox
- Lullaby swing basket
- Wobbly log bridge
- Stepping logs
- Log rocking seesaw
- Play tunnels
- Spinner
And picnic tables and park benches for parents to sit on too! It is a public facility meaning it is 100% free to enjoy 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
Te Awa Cycle Way
The Te Awa River Ride is one of most accessible and scenic cycling and walking trails in New Zealand. It is the longest concrete path in the country winding its way for 65km from Ngaruawahia to Lake Karapiro following New Zealand’s largest river – the mighty Waikato. While you're out exploring stop in at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome.
